S.T.O.P. Binder
Students and Teachers are Organized and Prepared
Your child will use a S.T.O.P Binder to take home and return to school Monday- Friday. It stays at school over the weekend unless requested by parents.
The binder has several sections.
Behavior/Homework
Your child will write his/ her homework on this page.
On the traffic light I will color the light that indicates your child's behavior for the day according to our
Caution Consequences.
If needed, I will write a brief description of your child's behavior.
You are always welcome to email at [email protected] or call me at the school if you have any questions and/or concerns.
Please sign daily.
Notes
This section will have important papers handed out by the teacher and/or the school.
Some papers may need to be signed and returned.
Some papers you may take to hang in your home for reference.
Calendar
This section has a calendar for you to record his/her independent reading at home on the Reading Log.
Read to and with your child every day!
The more your child is exposed to language, the easier it will be for him/ her to incorporate new skills into reading and writing in the classroom.
Reading
Your child's reading homework will be in this section.
use this section to read, review, and increase reading fluency.
Spelling
Your child's spelling homework will be in this section.
Use this section to review and study daily.
Math
This section will have any math homework and study guides.
Use this section to review and practice current and previous math skills and facts.
I have provided a S.T.O.P. Binder for each student. It is your child's responsibility to keep it in good condition and return it to school each day.
If you leave our school, please return the binder to the office.
Thank you for your cooperation and support.
